Probably 😂 Me too 😉
Possibly... Maglor. Anyone surprised? 😛 He's a fascinating character; the one of Fëanor's sons I'm least likely to bash heads with (😛) and I'd love to know their side of the happenings in the Silmarillion. Besides, he's bound to know a lot about Middle-Earth history, as far as it goes, about languages... and I'd love to listen to him singing^^
There are others I might think of too, but right now Maglor is standing out most, kinslayer or not 😉

Unsurpassed? I dunno about that one. It seems likely that Gandalf out classed Saruman for Saruman fell into darkness; not Gandalf
True. But in FOTR it was Gandalf going to Saruman for help, not the other way around. And this means that Saruman knows both the powers of good and evil...

No; he went to Saruman to tell him about the One Ring. Saruman was the head of the White Council. And a quote from Gandalf:
"Saruman, your staff if broken!!"
And the staff did break.
Saurman was also wise in ring lore, he delve deep into that area and it soon became his pet topic. Whilst Radagast wondered with nature and Gandalf had no fixed topic of lore Saurman took the lore of the rings of power. As such he would be the authority on the subject however it is also him delving too deep into this lore that could be acredited as the start of his fall to darkness.
I think I would have to go with hrrrm, Arwen.

Yes, but being the head of the White Council and also being Saruman the white (or Saruman of many colours) means that Saruman was superior to Gandalf the Grey. However he wasnt superior to Gandalf the white unfortunately.

The worst part of the books 🙁
