NHL 2006 :-Dont buy if u use a gamepad

Just got this game and unfortunately its unplayable with gamepads connected because the menu selector runs throug all options non stop.

From what Ive read on other gamer forums nearly everyone has this problem, its because the game uses its own game controller isntead of directx interface.

EA games just give the usual "update your drivers check connection etc.

Even though its obviously the game, I have EA sports Fifa 2006,2005,2004. Downhill racing, Harry potter and goblet of fire, quake 4 and other games installed and the pads work perfectly well.

The same problem occured with madden and NHL 2005 from what Ive read.

So if you use gamepads or joyticks which is needed if you play 1 on 1 then dont bother buying the game.

If anyone has a gamepad which does work then please let me know.

I nerv understood why people continuesly buy NHL games...

there all the same...

Dont buy NHL 2006, its the same as NHL 2005 except with roster updates.

BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

of course if you don't own any NHL games *cough* *cough*, then it would be okay to buy NHL 2006.

is it comprehensible.....

To be honest I didn´t buy it, just hired it out from the video shop, hence my "just got this game" comment. I tend to test games before I buy them, im glad I did.

I Played an ice hockey game on an atari yonks ago and thought i´d try the newer one´s out.

Im just glad I didn´t waste money on it, unbelievable that EA games have gampads working with FIFA and other games but not with NHL.

If you read the README file it says which gamepads are compatible and they even mention that not all gamepads work, im using Logitech Rumble Pad 2 (this one works)
