millions saw it

doesnt mean at all that they loved it

He was saying that out of the millions or billions that have seen the film, millions loved it. It's not rocket science, ya know.

well i agree with tooapresence, that most people saw it because the first 2 were okay movies

and obviously some people did like it, there isnt a movie that NOBODY likes, but i do think that most of that opening weekend money came from hopeful fans of the series that were disappointed afterwards

The rest of the money probably came from fans who loved the film & wanted to see it over & over & over again.

True. I'm sure that most of the money came from fans who loved Spiderman 3 and couldn't wait to get it on DVD.

I was going to add that better worldwide success was inevitable due to the the first two movies, but I was too lazy. And not just the critics were saying bad things but many normal people were dissapointed as well, as they all had high standards for spiderman 3. I think alone spiderman 3 would have been accepted better, but because of 1 and 2 it wasn't, since 1 and 2 are clearly better movies. Had spiderman 3 been as good as 2 there is no doubt that it would be aiming at history in the domestic box office (maybe not titanic's 600 million- i don't know if anything will top that). spiderman 3 had a steep 60% decline from its opening week as it grossed 60 million compared to 151. If it was a better movie that the majority of the people liked, the decline would be nowhere near as steep due to word of mouth.

You can bet your bottom dollar that those people that didn't liuke it most likely saw it again and again. I was not disappointed at all. Spidey 3 was what I fully expected.

It sure was. The only thing that disappointed me was Venom's short appearance. Other than that, Spiderman 3 was a great movie.

The only people that really didn't like the movie were true comic book nerds who can't stand to see a comic book movie unless it's EXACTLY like the comics.

ive read maybe 4 or 5 spidey comics, i hated the movie

all of my friends hated the movie, none of them read comics

As if we care...

well he said "the only people"

but whatever

spiderman 3 sucked

lots agree wth me and lots dont

wow it sounds just like.......every movie ever

so im done arguing about it

🙄 Sure...

Meh, ignore him. As if his opinion matters....

No or else it would have done a lot better in the domestic box office

Again no or else it definitely would have done better in the domestic box office especially since it opened on May 4th and not July 4th like spiderman 2 did.

And while there will alwaus be people that don't like a movie there are definetly a lot more people that didn't like spiderman 3. On the movie review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, Spider-Man 3 has a 61% critic rating from 207 reviews, with a 46% Cream of the Crop rating based on 39 reviews from major news outlets. The average user grade for spiderman 3 on yahoo is a B (that consists of over 60,000 normal people). COMPARE that to spiderman 2. Rotten Tomatoes calculated a rating of 93%, based on 228 reviews, with a "Cream of the Crop" rating of 95%, based on 39 reviews. The average user grade for spiderman 2 on yahoo is a B+ (that consists of over 133,800 normal people).

What the majority of the people seem to want is for the filmakers to dedicate the movie to one villain. That's the way I want it too. I loved spiderman 2 and doctor octopus. Although overall I liked Spiderman 3, people saw the villains fighting for screen time rather than getting to develop into the characters they should have. They really did cram too much into one movie. Hopefully the filmakers will learn from their mistakes.

The movie has made over 873 million dollars worldwide, I don't think that it gets any better than that.

At least 100 million better with domestic help

i hope they recast the charetcers

harry charecter was the only good choice

tobey is short ,had no muscle in SM2&3;became fat , and looks nothing like a guy who shoudl be able to pull a smokin supermodel(lol...i meant MJ not ghostrider) which brings me to teh joint worst casting ever

kirsten dunst is UGLY!!!!!!!!(i'm sorry god),,,,, they should get
a charecter with more cleavage and who is by far better looking

I agree but peter parker isn't suppose to be a supermodel, he is a nerd after all. They should keep J.K. Simmons. he is hilarious
