"You can bet your bottom dollar that those people that didn't liuke it most likely saw it again and again. I was not disappointed at all. Spidey 3 was what I fully expected."
No or else it would have done a lot better in the domestic box office
"The only people that really didn't like the movie were true comic book nerds who can't stand to see a comic book movie unless it's EXACTLY like the comics."
Again no or else it definitely would have done better in the domestic box office especially since it opened on May 4th and not July 4th like spiderman 2 did.
And while there will alwaus be people that don't like a movie there are definetly a lot more people that didn't like spiderman 3. On the movie review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, Spider-Man 3 has a 61% critic rating from 207 reviews, with a 46% Cream of the Crop rating based on 39 reviews from major news outlets. The average user grade for spiderman 3 on yahoo is a B (that consists of over 60,000 normal people). COMPARE that to spiderman 2. Rotten Tomatoes calculated a rating of 93%, based on 228 reviews, with a "Cream of the Crop" rating of 95%, based on 39 reviews. The average user grade for spiderman 2 on yahoo is a B+ (that consists of over 133,800 normal people).
What the majority of the people seem to want is for the filmakers to dedicate the movie to one villain. That's the way I want it too. I loved spiderman 2 and doctor octopus. Although overall I liked Spiderman 3, people saw the villains fighting for screen time rather than getting to develop into the characters they should have. They really did cram too much into one movie. Hopefully the filmakers will learn from their mistakes.
