Spider-Man 4 Discussion

To me, I am not believing a word, Tobey Maguire says. I like him, He is a talented and wonderful actor. I seriously doubt that Spidey 3 is the end. We all know that Sony has a writer for part four. The only thing that remains is whether or not it will be made with or without Maguire, Raimi and Dunst.

Sony has talked to a writer about part 4.

Doesn't mean that it's made.

And why the hell would a studio finance a Spiderman 4 without the three principal actors or director that made the first 3 films a hit?

Nobody would watch them. ❌

Normal movie-going folk are following the films with little-to-no knowledge of the comics. And if the story arc's of all three main characters are finished.. if it is indeed, a trilogy... then they aren't gonna want to start all over again with a new cast.

So who would watch the new Spiderman cast in Spiderman 4? (and Spidey 5 and 6 presumably, as that's what you folks want.)

News flash: you make up about 15% of Spiderman films money.

You're the only ones that want movies with Electro, and Rhino, and Carnage.

It's over. Enjoy what has become the greatest superhero trilogy ever.

So your basically saying no one would go see spider-man 4 if it had new actors in it? They are still talking about spider-man 4 so it doesn't mean it's over but it doesn't mean it's started either, at the moment it's a maybe with spider-man 4. If they chose the right actors and made a good storyline (which with spider-man isn't hard) then the movie could and would be a hug hit.

Again, the regular movie-going audience is invested in the story with Tobey, Kirsten, James Franco, etc...

If that story ends, if it's a trilogy wrapped up in a bow, then they will have enjoyed it.

They aren't all in love with the Spidey comics world and the characters like the comics fans are.

They saw Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Venom, GG2 (sort of) and had the Uncle Ben, Peter/Harry, Peter/MJ, and black suit storylines. They're done.

They won't be all giddy for the new cast, and new stories when these are finished.

And Sony isn't going to invest 100 million dollars to make the next one if only 15% of the film audience (comic book fanboys) are the only guaranteed paying customers.

Again, as Tobey says: "It feels like a trilogy, and it feels like it's the end."

Yer thats Tobey saying that...not Sony, if Sony says this is the last spider-man movie then fine, but until that happens I'm still saying they mite make a spidey 4, not saying they won't or they will

There will be a part 4. With so many ideas and all the success, why would they stop at 3?

there will be more, it makes too much money to stop. even if tobey stops they will either start over or just continue. either way i hope its with lizard

I think we all know that if Spierman 3 is a huge success and we all know it will be, there will be a part four. I know firsthand that Sony is thrilled with Spiderman 3, I know they are talking to a writer about part four. Why bother talking to someone if only three film are gonna get made? Someone please answer that question. Also we all that Tobet Maguire is just looking for a much bigger paycheck. As is Dunst and Raimi. I'm very sure and positive that Sony will pay them.

tobey has a hurt back he might not really want to do another one, also dunst ah i dont care if she goes or not...and they can do without raimi, maybe they r really just tired of doing the movies

A hurt back can be fixed..depends on how bad it is though

I do not think that Tobey's back still hurts. That is a very poor excuse. Second I doubt if Raimi is sick and tired of doing these films. That is an absolute falsehood. Spiderman four and up will be made. With or without Maguire. Personally I think Maguire is holding out for a huge payday.

Yer I agree, I reckon he's just doing it all cause he plays a good Pete he knows that and he knows everyone else knows it, so he will do whatever he can to get more money out of it. If Raimi quits I'll take over. 😄

I'm Raimi's boss. No way he will quit. He gets payed quite handsomly.

obviously a 4 will be made, but it might take a while especially if tobey and raimi leave but other than that it might not take so long

I already have it planned out.
