Green Day is overrated for sure, but they are great live performers and great musicians. Rarely can a band take such simple music and make it good.

I like them well enough 🙂

It's different in relation to what else they've done, not really in general though.

It's their most famous song besides Basket Case, arguably.

They didn't get overly political. They barely got political. They just expressed a distaste for Bush. A sentiment I share, but it's hardly political.
