Snape Needs a Girlfriend
Okay, so the Hogwarts 6th years are falling in and out of love, going through all that adolescent stuff. What I want to know is WHERE is Snape's love? And no, I do not think he was in love with Lily!
Even Snape's allegedly sinister character deserves to have at least one good fling!
Why no romantic history on Snape? Surely somebody must have loved him.

Are you sure he wouldn't enjoy a highly skilled witch? They could create potions together and all that! (lol) I think he needs a female equal, although I'm certain JK won't go there in 7. We'll be lucky to get answers to all the questions.

Yeesss!!! Brian Molko, and Owen Richards... and Alan (snape) isn't ugly either, just a bit too old for me 🙂 I loved him in Dogma.. David Bowie was pretty when he was younger...

Yeah england rules i should know i've been living here since i was born, that a good 20 years! except the 6 months i lived in Peru, but thats a diferent story..........

I don't think he needs a girlfriend or a love life. It just doesn't seem characterful for him. And wizards can get away with that kind of thing, being above pleasures of the flesh or emotion or whatever. They think about more important things.
And I mean, most of the senior wizards we know don't appear to have anyone like that - Dumbldore, Fudge, Voldermort, most of the teachers and so on. There seems to be two classes of wizard - those that settle down and raise a family (Potter's, Weasly's, Malfoy's etc), and those that forgo all that and are just professional wizards, focused on career and/or magic (Snape, Dumbledore, Umbridge, teachers, some Aurors etc)
I might be wrong, but that's how it looks to me.
Imperial S, You do have a good point there. I think I wanted Snape to have some pleasure (ie romance) b/c he seems so miserable most of the time. Also, I can't help but find him to be very misunderstood...like underneath all that meaness, is a really terrific character who might turn out to be one our heroes.
Tigress and Dais - thanks for sharing the opinion. England is on my "must visit again" list when I have lots of time to explore the countryside, as well as London. BTW, although I'm not a Brit, just wanted you to know that many of us in the USA respect other cultures and welcome the chance for diversity in our friends! I lived in Germany for a few years (many years ago) and LOVED Europe. That's where my people came from.
