For the first day the kittens are pinky.

I agree with bogen. All the kittens that have been born in my house, and no doubt in other peoples, are born with the same colour fur as they will have for the rest of their lives.

secondly, newborn kittens are not pink,they are born with fur. I have seen cats give birth many times and they all had fur.

Yes they are, my dear. Once the Mother kitten dries them off their natural color becomes visible. I would know, My cat gave birth to 5 kittens in a litter. I've even got a picture of them that I can scan if you'd like.
I believe the picture is true, no doubt.
