Ever dreamed that you spoke or met with Jesus?

I did. Man, the next day, and especially in the morning, my heart was sooooo heavy...almost like it was suffering from heartbreak. Has anyone else ever dreamed of speaking or meeting with Jesus? And if so, did you have the same "symptoms"?

I did. I was like a woman gladiator...Kinda like Xena. I was going to fight this giant in an arena...Well I was worried about it bad. But people kept saying to me "Don't worry, Jesus is coming and he will save you." Well, I kept watching, and finally I spotted him he was in his seat drinking and it was then I knew he wasn't going to save me.. 🙁 ..Well I fought this giant and lost...but good thing was the giant really wasn't that bad....He said "You're ours now, come on."...So, I went with them...and hey, they were ok.. 😑 😕

This is a true dream.

Hmm, interesting.

I know....Isn't it?...What do you think it means?

I can only speculate, Deb.....

But first I would ask if you are a Christian?

I used to be until I studied religions.

Well, it could be His way of saying......mind you, this is me, BOB's own interpretation, and it COULD be wrong.

But, I see it as Jesus saying: Deb, follow me again-pick up your cross. Fighting the giant (who is not all that mean and evil) symbolizes your penance for denouncing him. Seeing that the giant is not all THAT formidable a foe, means that He will go easy on you for turning the other way. Sounds like He's gonna kick back and watch YOU try to make YOUR way back to Him.

That's my psychobabble take on it. 😉

It was a dream! To think it is anything more is to be a nut.

😂 I'm impressed, though I have a different take on it.

I think it means that Jesus isn't gonna save anyone. And the giants are only what we've been mislead to fear..not not bad guys at all.

I guess I'm a nut then, Shaky. But, she did ask?

Speaking of which, have you ever dreamt of speaking with or meeting Jesus?

Ahhhhhh he probably dreamt of rubbing Buddhas belly. 😛

A very, very broad and general rule of thumb for dream interpretation: relax, feel out the emotional vibe to the dream (or an element in it), then free-associate. If you can do this with a series of dreams, all the better, which is why a dream journal helps. Easier to spot patterns.

www.dreammoods.com along with my few books on dream analysis come in handy when doing dream interpretation....Pretty cool what you can learn about ones self.

Very informative, Deb. Thanks.

Another approach I've been working on (with so far limited success) is lucid-dream interviewing. In other words, while I know I am dreaming, I talk with the characters/props in my dream.

Yes. Self-exploration: truly the final frontier.

That seems difficult to accomplish, no?

Yes. Very difficult, years of practice. But when it works, it's like nothing else.
Ever see the movie "Waking Life?" That is probably the best rendition the film medium can make of it. But still, that's like trying to figure out what something taste like by reading the menu.

I've had lucid dreaming 8/9 times that I'm aware of. But in 3 of the cases it was to invent a door to get away, or stop a character from harming me in some way by making it dissapear and such.. The others were like slowing down falls, or making something else happen when I was bored with the dream. It's pretty neat when I'm aware of the power I have in a dream.

Ohh yeahhh...The Power ...

Contrary to popular belief though (or at least, this has been my experience), you can't really do whatever you want. You can manipulate props/content; but the dream has its own agenda/process which must be respected. If ever the phrase "go with the flow" applied, it's in a lucid dream. In effect, it's been my experience that things go best when the lucid dreamer and the dream are in partnership.
