Exactly...it's kind of sad...but I don't think there is a place in the X-men for Jean/ Phoenix anymore...I guess that's why she's gone and she knew she had to...

jean's operated under a non-phoenix context for most of her career, even though current continuity says that should be impossible. so, why would it be hard for her to return sans the phoenix brand on her suit?

only so long as people make an issue about it. anyone could bring her back as jean grey, and simply explain away the lack of phoenix in one manner or another, and be done with it. she could be the hal jordan of the marvel universe.

I have to disagree. I don't want to see Jean as plain old Marvel Girl because then, she'll lose most of her appeal. Jean as Phoenix is a fascinating character and the X-Men do nead a ultra-powerful character.

You have any idea how much money Marvel has made off of writing about Phoenix?

True. Of course they've made a ton off of Jean/Pheonix. But I still maintain that they made her much too powerful. In fact, I think that her being so invincible is starting to make her kind of boring. Isn't that why Wolverine gets on everyone's nerves? How interesting would their confrontations with villians be when we all know that Jean could kill them in five seconds?

i have thought of that too..its is already expected that she can kill all the other opponents even in a split sec
so how do you solve that problem?
by taking away the Phoenix which is actually a part of her?
any suggestions?
maybe i want jean to use only Psychokinesis & telepathy in many ways excluding the influence of the Phoenix but how is that possible?

well they've astablished that jean and phoenix are the same so they probably gonna make her come back one more time and find a way to make her die for good...if that happens i would love to see her go out with a bang =D

so would i. i mean i like the character but as i'm sure that it's been stated before, she's overdone. how many times can you come back to life and still think that everyone is going to be affected by it.

Phoenix forever, but if you are going to kill her off, do it in style.

Then again a mutant may reverse time and cause another One More Day epic, where people who should still be dead are alive; house of M never happed ect. ect.....just a thought....
