Is cyclops under rated?

Why is it wen x-men is mentioned its usually wolverine that gets the headlines?

why not cyclops, after all he is leader of the team
and has very powerful children. (Nate Grey, Cable etc.)

Everybody I know despises Cyclops so that might be a factor.

Cyclops is cool. He doesn't get on my nerves (and that's saying a lot).

So yeah, he is underrated. Even here on these forums.

Wolverine is that cool, loner kid you always wished you could be in gradeschool. Cyclops is every officiating busybody teacher's pet. It's no wonder fans (esp. ones who like Wolverine) despise him so much.

On the other hand, I think he's a deep character with mountains of potential, so I like him myself. (He's actually one of my favorite X-Men, after reading Grant Morrison's brilliant, grown-up take on him.)

Back during the TAS series days when I was a kid.

Then I got into comics and I started to like wolverine more. Then I got bored reading his books and liked Cyclops more. Then I got bored of the whole X-men and stopped reading them. Now I like Madrox as my favorite Mutant.

i think it was just a sentinel. A blown up sentinel with a forest knocked the **** down.
