Well thats rubbish. if Britain was to become a republic tomorrow and all the public owned property that the Queen has was to be returned she would still be among the top land owners in Britain.

Oh, you're not? Whoa is me, how will I get sleep tonight?

I don't read them regularly with the belief that they are good. People I know buy them and occasionally I'll flip through them. I read The Guardian if anything, The Mirror if I ever buy it.

The Guardian? And there's me thinking you read The Working Statesman.

Be right back, we can continue this enthralling discussion to which you are so significantly contributing, in due time. This will be after I've returned from my quest to find a needle and thread with which I'll use to stitch my sides back together after that comedy couch level joke you just made.

actually its not rubbish...take all the palaces for example

Buckingham Palace, St. James's palace, Clarence House, Marlborough House Mews, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle, Frogmore House, Hampton Court Mews and Paddocks;

the queen doesn't actually own any of them...the only 2 she owns personally are Sandringham and Balmoral...

if the UK was to become a republic today she would have no right to either of these

much of the Land in the UK, while it is owned by royal...it is privately owned by individuals rather than the head of state

I love the idea of monarchy....Royal Family and all....is such a romantic ideal.

Oh, well, back to reality of my little world

i dont sware an oath to no queen!
