Why were Whites as hateful as they were towards Blacks in the mid-20th century?

I know I risk being flamed or having this thread closed but I'm didn't create this thread to incite hatred. I'm not a racist. I'm neither Black or White either but I proudly and respectfully live among them.

I created this thread in order to gain knowledge from those who may know about the topic as this is the 1st of 2 threads on race that I will create.

My post:

Why the mistreatment back then. Was it cause of racism really? I mean, whites are smart but to not like or hate someone due to the hue of one's skin sounds illogical. And not very intellectual. And some of these people may have been either currently living or ancestral people that did this that you are family with, as this events took place not to long ago.

I've heard of Whites hosing Blacks/families/kids with powerful fire hoses that spewed very cold or hot water at peaceful crowds demonstrating.

The separation of water fountains where you'd have a white only bubbler or a whites only bathroom. White only restaurants. If a Black person was charged with "Looking at another white woman" it would land him in jail for years or hanged by the government.

And much more..

The thing I found interesting is, is alot of whites during that time wanted Blacks out, out of facilities building out of the country yet whites brought blacks here. Is it imprinted xenophobia?

As I sit back, today especially, and think about it, I just want to know why. Why the hatred. (at that time)

Because of the differences of back grounds that were also brought to the new world and superiority..Human Nature to dominate or see ones self about others.

Cause blacks had larger dongs than whites and took all their women.

Well, Native Americans had wheels and canoes and had societies and they got it worse than Blacks. They were wiped out.

I think it was the lure of money... You find a civalisation that you can take advantage of to turn a profit... So you call them slaves and force them to make you rich!

then hating them to make yourself feel better as you abuse them seems natural...

Ummm....no they weren't wiped out. Go look at their Indian Reservation Million dollar Casinos and then tell me who had it worse. Blacks or Native Americans?

IMPO the entire Western Nations are at fault for being too cocky and pompus. Thinking that the discoveries of sciences and technology make us better and above the rest. Things like segregation in the Southern States and Apartheid should have NEVER happen. But they did...now we have to eat the crow. Even though I don't wear white sheets or make monkey noises during a soccer game. I feel rather embarass that the Western World is capable of such acts of stupidity.

you cant be serious. the majority of the native american population was exterminated. their existance today only proves a failed attempt at genocide

And each and every one of your (Americans, that is) phone bills in terms of the Federal Universal Fund your phone company makes you pay each month.

We were at war with certain Indian Nations for many years we were never at "war" with black nations so to speak.

Also blacks were enslaving blacks in Africa as well. Hell they still have slaves in Africa. There were alot of hate crimes twards blacks early in the 20th century (you can still find the hate crimes today) however its not just whites that commit the crimes..............many black on black crimes run rampant today🙁

Seems to me, for the last 1500 years, if you were anything other than white, male and Christian, you were persecuted.
