Sam had sat down on a bench near Cat's apartment building, letting himself fall asleep by accident. Sam was having a dream about his family, one he had quite often. Sam was standing over them, watching them take care of a small child. Sam recognised the child as himself at the age of three. It was either his only memory of them or one he made up to help him sleep, either one was enough for Sam. Normally, it was only when he had this dream that he felt happy, but ever since he met Cat, Sam's thoughts had drifted to other things as well. But Sam didn't have time to enjoy his dream, he was awakened by the sound of an arrow sinking into the bench next to his head. "We meet again young one." Said the Bow Man as he stepped from the shadows.

Sam didn't stand to fight, he simply sat and looked at his feet. "Why are you here...? I thought you were hunting criminals... why don't you leave me in peace?" Sam said without emotion.

The Bow Man pulled an arrow from his quiver. "You aided a thief... that is a crime... I stop criminals like you." The Bow Man said, as though to explain to a child. "When I'm done with you, I'll finish off the girl you were protecting."

Sam sighed, but still made no effort to stand and fight. "She doesn't need me to protect her... She can fight... and her friends will help." Sam said as he closed his eyes. "Do what you will... I will not fight back." Sam said as he took a deep breath and waited for death.

Danica: I don't know what I would do without. I would go insane with it without.
