Environment In Crisis -We Are Past the point of no return

http://rense.com/general69/ebenv.htm

what wonderful news.

Thirty years ago, the scientist James Lovelock worked out that the Earth possessed a planetary-scale control system which kept the environment fit for life. He called it Gaia, and the theory has become widely accepted. Now, he believes mankind's abuse of the environment is making that mechanism work against us. His astonishing conclusion - that climate change is already insoluble, and life on Earth will never be the same again.

The world has already passed the point of no return for climate change, and civilisation as we know it is now unlikely to survive, according to James Lovelock, the scientist and green guru who conceived the idea of Gaia - the Earth which keeps itself fit for life.

There' s no need to be rude Deano.

exactly! not to mention that by then we'll all be microchipped slaves to lizard men, so we'll be praying for that asteroid to end our miserable existance. so who gives a shit about the environment?

be quiet. i wasnt the only one being rude

Not smart, telling a mod to be quiet, Deano.

You know Lovelock wants the return to the mass use of nuclear power ASAP? That's not exactly made him popular with environmental groups as a whole.

well i dunno why i was singled out.

why isnt it smart telling a mod to be quiet. am i gonna get banned or a warning? i woudnt get a warning if i said it to a non mod. i wasnt telling her how to do her job was i. i was speaking as i would normally to anyone else. some people mistake the word 'mod' for 'god', i think so sometimes.

anyway, i hope that someone sorts out the enviromental problems. it just amazes me how idiotic the government can be. they obviously cant see the damage being caused

Keep going with this, I like where it's headed.

But you don't believe that gov'ts are in control, so you have no reason to be angry with them.

Hmmm i wonder why ? 🙄

Of course the invironment is in crisis, it's why we were all going to do something about it until George Bush was elected.
The economy is much more important than the future of our planet because God will probably beam us all to another planet when the time comes. Just ask Tom Cruise.

I'll report you faster than Deano can tell you the earth is melting due to Soviet Toaster-Oven Testing.

Seriously unhelpful. Storm was acting in her capacity as a mod, telling you to calm down. You do not argue with moderating decisions- that's part of the point. So trying to say it wouldn't be a problem with a non-mod is irrelevant- a non-mod wouldn't have been acting in an official capacity. That's nothing to do with vanity or god-complex; it's common sense rules.

Hence, it was not smart. And yes, if you keep telling mods to be quiet when they rule against you, you will be warned and then later banned if you keep it up. That's not up for discussion, so I hope you were listening.

If you don't believe governments are in control then your point is moot. Discussion done.
