It's a sick album that's practically untouchable in comparison wit anything that was out then and like 90% of the sh*t that's out now.
Out of the Wu-Tang saga, I'd say it's a tie with Raekwon's Cuban Link album and Wu-Tang Forever.
"Tical" and "Supreme Clientele" was sick too, both coming in @ number 2, for me.

First two are tied at the top for me. I'm not so sure about Wu-Tang Forever, it had a bunch of really nice tracks, but also tons of filler. They made a mistake attempting a two-disc album, if they'd released this as a one disc album, it'd be in the top 5, without a doubt:

O yea, 36 Chambers. I'll call it a tie wit my # 1 Gza and Wu-Tang Forever.
I didn't think "W-T Forever" had no filler at all. Every track on that album was fire. And what difference would it have made if they released the double CD as a single CD wit all of the track in them. I though it was perfect. Any track on that album meant turning the volume up. I even thought that joint for the ladies U-God started rippin' off of was sick. That body shop one.
Every track off of Forever that I didn't mention above I felt was inferior by Wu's standards. Either because the production was dull (Impossible, Deadly Melody), the lyrics were sub-par (Maria, Dog Shit) or they weren't proper songs, i.e. skits/intros etc (Wu Revolution, Intro, Second Coming, The Closing). You really like Black Shampoo? I think that's by far the worst song on any Wu group album. U doesn't even attempt to alter his voice or delivery to match the (pretty cheesy) beat, and the lyrics are virtually meaningless. He just sounds like he's actually reading the Body Shop catalogue out loud, listing products at random.
Nah, I think in terms of consistency, Iron Flag is the second strongest Wu group CD, and even that's a long, long way off 36 Chambers.

Iron Flag? Really? That came in last for me after 36 Chambers and WuTang Forever. And i loved the skits on WuTang Forever. They were amongst the most memorable. And to look at it like that, Black Shampoo did seem like he was reiterating catalogue literature, lol. But na i thought it still flowed. He made it seem fluid with how he just kept on with all the things women were into. I thought it very inventive and imaginative. The beat seemed tropical, like some beach sh*t, you know.
