I am completely shocked.We're getting Gwen now?!?!?.Just after Peter finally get's with MJ.This should be very interesting.

Looks like they really are focusing on Peter this time around.

I'm not saying this is official,as you know I only believe it from Sony.But I'm told this guy Harry from AICN is the king of inside info and movie scoops,and he is great friends with Avi Arad.

So me personally,I do believe it,and it should be up on Sony's site by tomorrow.

Ew ew ew ew ew PLEASE don't tell me that that woman is playing Gwen Stacy!!! I swear, if this is true, then you guys should be prepared for a terrible Spider-Man 3. Look at what we have:

Sandman - a villain who isn't interesting or cool enough to frontline a film

possible Harry goblin - nothing new or exciting

Topher - 2 major listings so far are Venom (which everyone is getting mad at), and Electro (and we don't know if Raimi will mess up the costume)

More focus on Peter and less on Spider-Man = more whining and waste of storytime

An ugly Gwen Stacy, matched up with a Mary Jane that gets progressively uglier as time goes by. Dunst was ok in the first one but bad in the second and the only pic of #3 we have of her is that hideous one where she has the sunglasses on and looks like shit. Now we're gonna get an even uglier girl for Gwen Stacy? Which means that that's even LESS time for the villains, and more time for whining about "do I like ugly girl #1 or ugly girl #2?"

This better not be true, or we've got a T3/Matrix Revolutions going on.

I understand and agree with what you're saying.This movie looks like a Peter Parker filled problem movie.Alot more focus on him.Like that stunt man said.

The ONLY good thing about this,is that it makes Venom seem less and less likely.

If i were raimi id have casted:
Erica Durance as MJ since they look alike and ericas actually pretty
Topher Grace as Peter Parker (he's funny, and looks like a fresh faced nerd bag/nothing wrong with tobey though, but i prefer topher as parker)

This isn't the Lord of the Rings dude,no way is a super hero movie like Spider-Man going to be anywhere near 3 hours long.

if venom is in...being an important character and all, it would over load the movie...

Gwen Stacy is the Punk Rock Hippie in USM. I mean that as a complement. She comes out of no where taking about the end of the world and how we all have super powers...I'm cool with it but knowing Sony we could say good-bye to that and start saying hi to Gwen and Peter in bed together....

Raimi hasn't known what he's been doing since he started. I mean, he made Doc Ock a schitzo, Peter a wuss, and for some odd reason has to have a wet t-shirt scene in every movie with Kirsten Dunst. The second movie SUCKED compared to the first one, so I wouldn't be suprised if there was no Venom, and there was Gwen Stacy.

Hulk sequel!?! I had to see it to believe it, anyway I always wondered who would play Gwen maybe dunst should play Gwen since she is blonde and this Bryce Howard should play Mary Jane since she is ginger.

well please, explain how they can incorporate Gwen Stacy, Sandman, Goblin 2, and Venom/Electro. in under 3 hours? and still focus on Peter/Spider-Man.
