Sidious?...... or Yoda?

well he didnt lose to dooku, dooku was already knowing he wouldnt win it was a matter of time befor yoda killed him, so dooku toppled that big metal pole or whatever it was, to distract yoda long enough to escape, dooku knew yoda would save obi-wan and anakin from being crushed.

and lastly, i know sidous was declared the victory between him and yoda, but did he truly win, no, he niether killed nor defeated yoda with force capability, sidious won in the fact that he had anakin and the clone army kill off the jedi, after sidious and yoda fight yoda escapes and is taken away by bail organa, yoda tells him he failed, yes he failed to stop the sith from taking over but was because he was so heatbroken by losing his children, and that is the way i see this, that yoda just gave up, he was too evenly matched with sidious to try and restart the fight again.

and the age issue, yoda maybe nearly 900 years old, but he still could whip ass and take names.

Mace=Badass, i take it your a mace windu fan. Would you say Sidious beat Mace, or he let him win, or he was just toying? i doubt it. So why do you think Yoda couldnt beat him? Yoda easily outclassed mace.

YODA ALL THE WAY, HE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IN A SABER FIGHT YODA WOULD HAVE WON AND IN A FORCE FIGHT I THINK HE WOULD TIE WITH SIDIOUS BUT HE HAD THE HIGHER GROUND.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ya....if it wasnt becuase of anakin bumping in the fight, sidious would have lost to mace windu anyday...
sidious lost his saber in that fight and force fight was blocked by mace's saber.
do not underestimate any of the JEDI master's powers and capibilities.

The force fight was so obviously faked as it was....

Lucas already said in the DVD that Sidious could have pWn3d Windu had he wanted.

Not necessarily with his saber, but he coulda just pWn't Windu like a n00b with the force. The whole "Ohhh I'm to weak don't kill me pleeaaassee" part was fake. Palpatine could have killed Windu had he felt like it. His life was never in any real danger. Lucas said so himself.

Where exactly did he say that? On the ROTS DVD he said that Mace overpowered Sidious, and that he was supposed to loose to Mace. He added the weak part later. He never said anything about Palpatine being able to pwn Mace any second, he said Anakin saved him.

Back to Yoda... I suggest all you guys that think Sids overpowered yoda should go back and Watch the fight again. Watch the facial expressions, lucas always make sure they are accurate. sids does look confident at first, but there are places you can see his worriedness and yodas confidence. That alone should prove that yoda was on top.

Yoda pretty much pwned Sidious in that force tug of war. And I have NO clue what Anomaly's talking about.

Yoda was just unlucky.

Well Yoda falling and only having a slanted smooth serfice to grip whilst sids has a bar to grab seems unlucky to me. If it had the other way around Yoda would hav seemed the victor.

I think prophecy alone would've prevented Yoda from really winning there

I wouldn't say Yoda pwned Sidious in the struggle with the force lighting. If anything it was a tie between the two for it appeared that the lighting just exploded.

Also I do believe Sidious could have pwned Mace with the force if he wanted to. He was acting all weak and defenseless but the moment Mace lost his arm Sidious released the huge powerful force lighting attack. Sidious was lifting pods and throwing them around left and right, I'm sure if he felt his life was in danger he would have done that to Mace or a simple force push. Look how far Grievous went when Obi force pushed him and the Emperor is stronger in the force then old Obi-Wan.

Well it was discussed how the Prophecy could have been misread............ therefore, false.

I'm not sure a misread prophecy equals a false one

Mace just said it could have been a prophecy misread he didn't say it was.

Yoda said it could've been misread...I just took all this to mean "Well, the Chosen One's gonna kill the Sith...but something COULD happen along the way
