Out of anger, Ellie picked up her blaster and reloaded it. She motioned to Aldrek to throw her some thermal-detonators, those which are near him. Darn it! Why’d he need to do that?!?! Ellie turned one on, and threw it into the direction of the remaining troopers. About 5 troopers fell, sprawling lifeless on the forest floor. Heck, why did the Empire pick up soldiers so dumb, Ellie thought as she moved quickly to follow Joel. But that is a good thing. If these guys were so smart, I’d be dead right now. She crept behind a tree, just in time to flag into a running trooper. Ellie got her knife and stabbed the soldier in the throat, blood splattering over the white armor. She looked behind her and saw that her friends dealing with the remaining Stormtroopers.

As she followed Joel and his followers through the forest, Ellie turned and threw a detonator at the running troopers following Joel. Two of them were killed, leaving 3 behind. One stayed to find Ellie; the two others still followed Joel. He can take care of those two. Ellie thought. Joel could do it. Ellie crept behind the Stormtrooper and killed him silently with her knife. She heard two blaster shots. She looked up just in time to see the two remaining Stormtroopers down.

Joel ran to her. “Are you ok?” He asked.

“Are you nuts?!” Ellie shouted at him. She was fuming at him, partly because he did that stupid thing and partly because of making her worry. “You were almost killed!”

Joel just laughed. “I forgot you’re just a new one. Ask them. I do it almost all the time and always end up alive.”

“Yes, but one day your sithspawn luck will run out you idiot!”

Joel showed a lopsided grin. Ellie just pouted and shook her head. He’s a sadist!! Doesn’t he know people worry about him?! He’s not only endangering the mission, he’s doing stupid things that make me worry!! Absurdity kills!! Uh!!!! Ellie shivered in anger as she returned to camp. Joel is already giving orders.

“We need to move out people. They already know where our camp is. By the way, the shipment would arrive sooner or later. But, home base says shipment’ll arrive quick. And also, try to expect company. They already know we are here.” Joel emphasized.

Ellie checked the crew for wounds. Aldrek’s shoulder was hit by a blaster shot, and Joel’s arm got burned by a plasma bolt. Lance’s foot was bleeding because of debris that hit it which is caused by a thermal-detonator’s explosion caused. Marriette was otherwise unharmed.

As they were packing, Lance finally got past his mood swing. “Hey Ellie…”

“What??” Ellie answered, definitely bugged. She’s really concentrating on what she’s doing right now.

“I- well um, I-” Lance swallowed hard. “Look, I’m not going to repeat this again. So please listen carefully. I – I’m sorry for my behavior. We are on the same team, on the same mission. We need to cooperate. And… I am grateful for what you’ve done for me. You saved me from the trooper who almost pumped into me a stun bolt. You also really did a neat handiwork on that scope system. We really need that device to detect enemies. I just haven’t prepared it yet when the stormtroopers came. The device you worked on is doing great. Really!”

Ellie pretend to not hear him, but she is truly touched with the apology. Oh… he sounds so cute, innocent and adorable! Ellie giggled as she thought to herself. She decided to return the kind words. “It’s ok. No need to bother with it.”
Lance grinned. “I never do that apology thing. It’s too… formal and serious. Oh, and one more thing, if my temper explodes again, it’s just that I’m really like that. I have mood swings.”

“Yes I have noticed.” Ellie said quietly. “Hey, pack your things and get that scoping device ready. We might need it.”

Lance nodded and got up to finish packing. The team moved to another part of the jungle, farther from the pick-up place. Ellie was puzzled, and resolved to ask Joel about this.

“Lieutenant, why did we move farther away from the rendezvous point? How could we pick up those parts??” Ellie questioned.

“We couldn’t lead the Empire to the pick-up place, can’t we?”

Ellie nodded. “I see your point sir.”

Ellie got back to preparing her things while talking to Marriette. “So, how long have you both been in the rebellion?”

“About, um, two years I guess. I’ve been here since I was 15. I ran away from home because mom and dad are too afraid to oppose the empire. Don’t get them wrong, they hate the empire too, but-“

“They say that they couldn’t do anything about them right now because the Imp’s might do something to ‘em.” Ellie sighed. “Yup, mine too.”

Marriette grinned. “Then welcome to the club kid!” They both laughed. “How old are you anyway?”

“Just turned 15.” Ellie replied. “Well, gotta follow ‘em. Don’t wanna be left behind.”

Marriette laughed. The two followed after the guys, chatting about life and stuff when they came across a transport of some kind. “What could that be?” Marriette whispered to Ellie, who suddenly kept quiet.

“A vehicle. Why are there many – wait a second, that’s a slavery transpo. There are slavers here...?” Ellie realized. She saw a bunch of wookies, each chained to each other, and a group of troopers guarding them. “Heck, they ship those from here. They hide them here! They use those wookies as workers, don’t they? We gotta get outta here. I bet there are many Imp’s are guarding ‘em.”

Marriette’s eyes widened and seemed not paying attention to what Ellie just said. “We got to help them Ellie!!”

“What?!”

“We just, got to!” Marriette went forward about two steps towards the vehicle when Joel caught her arm.

“What are you doing?!” Joel demanded.

“I want to help those poor creatures Joel!” Marriette pleaded. “They’re about to be shipped.”

Joel shook his head. She always has been how do I put this, helpful. She really has a soft heart. “Oh alright…” Let’s do this suicidal thing. He didn’t say.

Marriette smiled and got hold of her blaster. Ellie shook her head and re-loaded her blaster pistol and got hold of a thermal-detonator. Here we go again… She said to herself. She’s actually excited about this. Even though she hates killing, she loves action.

Joel called Lance and Aldrek, telling them of the plan. “WHAT?!” Lance shouted.

Joel shushed him. “Heck Lance! Do you want them to hear us!?”

Lance gritted his teeth. Aldrek however, just nodded his head in agreement.

Marriette told them that she and Ellie will handle the freeing of the wookies while the guys will lure the stormtroopers away.

“I knew we’d get the hard part.” Aldrek said.

Marriette shrugged. “I know. But don’t worry. Once we released those wookies, I’m sure they’ll help. I’m sure we’ll go home ship full; because I’m sure they’ll think of this as a life debt.”

“I thought so. So we’ll need to use those transports…” Ellie said.

“Uh-huh…” Marriette nodded.

Ellie shook her head. “Come on… Let’s get this over with…”

* * *

Ellie crept to the transport. She held her blaster firmly. She pulled her knife from its sheath, peeked around the transport and saw about 3 troopers guarding. Crawling to them silently, she tripped one and sliced its throat; the other troopers noticed her and drew their blasters. But they weren’t quick enough, Ellie slit off all their throats first. She called Marriette, who stealthily ran to her.

Ellie watched as the guys threw a thermal detonator by the vehicle. About ten Stormtroopers followed them. Huh, they’ll never learn not to underestimate those guys…. She thought. She took the lead towards the control room and signaled Marriette to follow her. They both shot the two troopers in there and took control of the vehicle. Marriette told Ellie to watch the panels to see if there are additional troopers coming. She slipped on to Ellie’s head a com-link headset.

“Hey, call if there’s trouble.” She said. Marriette set out to find the trooper who controls the chains of the wookies.

“Sith! I hate being left behind doing nothing.” Ellie complained to herself quietly. “I want to do something, but they treat me as if I’m a newbie that can’t do anything.” She cursed under her breath. She smirked. She has a plan, even though it’s not fool-proof, it’s worth a try…

Ellie looked at the panels. Nobody’s there. She got her blaster. She checked again, and saw two troopers running towards the control room. “I bet Joel’s team dispatched the other 8, and these guys are back to call headquarters and collect others.” She has the knack for guessing things, and it turns out, she’s right. The two Stormtroopers jiggled the switches, and when it didn’t open, they blasted the thing. The door opened, and Ellie was nowhere in sight. The troopers seemed a bit puzzled for a moment, their companions not around. Ellie was hiding behind junk, and found the bodies of the two troopers whom they killed earlier. “It’s now or never,” she thought, “If they find those bodies, I’m toast.”

Ellie shot the two behind their backs. “Wow, these guys really suck at this.” She said. “I wish they didn’t send the transmission, or we’re doomed.” But, when she checked, the transmission was a success. “Oh blast!”

She studied Marriette on a screen. “For a soft hearted gal, she kicks butts.” Ellie just saw Marriette kick a trooper and shot him, and retrieving the remote, she released the wookies. “It can’t be that easy…” She thought. Ellie ran outside, and spotted a new battalion of troopers making their way. “By the Force! The whitehats never seem to run out!”

Ellie gritted her teeth, and made her way to Marriette. “They’re coming Marriette! Let’s go! Load everyone in the transpo! They’re too many, even with the wookies around!” Marriette nodded, reassured to the wookies that they’re safe with them, and loaded everyone in the vehicle, and jumped in themselves. “I guess, we should, floor it or else we’ll be sitting ducks.”

Marriette agreed. She was on the wheel, and drove. She headed to where the rendezvous point is. “Hey, we need to head over to a stop over, there in the clearing.” Ellie pointed out.

“Why?” Marriette struggled at the wheel. “What for??”

“Well, let’s just say that we have someone and something to collect.”

“What?”

Ellie rolled her eyes. “Just do it Mar!”

Marriette steered sharply and headed towards the clearing. “Here! Ya happy?”

“Yep.” The two saw Joel, Aldrek, and Lance. And the plane that dropped the parts off. “Told ya we should go here…”

“Ok... You win…” Marriette said. Just got aboard when tons of yellow stuff came falling right out of the sky.

Ellie shook her head worryingly. “Oh no… The pollen.” She faced the passengers. “Guys, we’re in a major problem here.”

“Why, what is it?” Joel asked. He was being thanked by the wookies, more like being hugged to death by some. “Ok, ok guys. We get the picture. Can you please just stop now?”

Ellie laughed for a moment. “Looks like they like you Lt. Joel.”

“Stop the formalities Ellie. And what’s that you’re telling me?”

“Pollen. They’re falling right outta the trees. We gotta get outta here, fast, and we mustn’t inhale, or come in contact with those things.” Ellie said. “They’re poisonous. Ya all heard that? And oh, I remember spotting a ship-of-sorts in that clearing.” She pointed towards a patch of sunlight.

Marriette nodded. “Heading that way. You guys back there hold on!” Marriette drove smoothly, well, as smooth as possible, and drove straight into the clearing, straight into 10 clustered troopers.

“Mar look out!” Ellie shouted. Marriette tried to move out of the way, but no use. She tried turning to the left, but the vehicle didn’t completely turn. It just skidded and hit the Stormtroopers dead.

Marriette laughed. “Well, at least now troopers are the least of our problems.” Marriette was about to step out when Ellie stopped her. “No. It’s too dangerous. You can’t come in contact with those things.”

“But – Ok, so how do you propose we get to that ship?” Marriette pointed towards a large starcruiser used to transport the wookies.

“One person should be enough to go there and open the cargo hold. Then, we should be able to drive in.”

Marriette rolled her eyes. “So, how does someone get there if you said we can’t get in contact with those pollen thingy?”

Ellie smirked. “You just gotta run fast, get a stormtrooper suit from one of those dead guys, come back to this vehicle, and dress someone up. The armor of the white hats are enough to protect someone. Then, you will be free to kill those guys inside and hijack the cruiser, then do as planned.” Ellie looked at the passengers behind them. “Any volunteers?”

Marriette smiled sheepishly. “I’m backing out. I can’t run that fast.”

Ellie smiled. “Anyone else? Or else I’d go for it.”

Lance sounded out. “I’ll do it. I’m the fastest runner here. And besides, you’re the only person trained as a med person here El, -“

“It’s called medic Lance.” Ellie pointed out.

Lance rolled his eyes. He hates it when he’s interrupted. “Yeah, yeah whatever doc. Anyway, you can’t go coz no one would treat you if you do go El. So, I’m thinking, I’d go, then bring back what I need to bring back, then Joel could dress up, and take the ship, and do as planned. Well, Marriette would be here to drive this thing in. Then we’ll all get into our –“

“We get the pic Lance. So, let’s do it?” Aldrek said, clearly bored.

Ellie shook her head. “Wait a sec guys. Lance, can you do that in record time?”

“It’ll be easy. Like winning a race.”

Ellie rolled her eyes. He is so full of himself. Ellie sighed.

“Ok, its settled guys.” Joel said. “So Lance, get ready. We’re opening the vehicle.”

The wookies opened the van up, and Lance ran through the field, all the while holding his breath. After a while, it was clear the pollen is already affecting Lance. He is slowing and with great effort pulled a dead trooper in. Lance threw the guy in, and fell on the floor. The wookies pulled him in and closed the doors. Ellie jumped out of her chair and started digging in her bag for the serum. Finally getting the automatic syringe gun, she loaded it and punched directly in Lance’s neck.

“Joel! Hey! Go already!” Ellie shouted. “I’ll take care of this guy!”

Joel put on the uniform and ran out to the cruiser. Ellie almost started to panic when Lance didn’t wake up. “For the galaxy’s sake Lance wake up!”

Lance coughed, and a little bit of color crept into his cheeks. “Hey, so, did I do well or what?” He smiled, and tried to stand up.

“Don’t you dare try to Lance! You scared us! You scared me!” Ellie raised a brow. Lance looked at the x-wing parts they collected.

“Well, when are we going? I don’t feel so well.” Lance said.

Ellie shrugged. “It depends if Joel can make it.”

The door of the cargo hold opened up. Joel removed his helmet, and waved. He placed his helmet back again and signaled again.

“Marriette, lets go.” Aldrek shouted from the back.

Ellie looked at Marriette. She was staring at something. Ellie turned her head, and saw a stormtrooper headed for Joel, and was about to pounce on him when –

“Marriette no!!” Ellie stared at Marriette as she ran through the forest and pounced on the trooper that is sneaking behind Joel.

Ellie moved into the driver’s seat and headed to the cargo hold. She parked it in like a pro and brought out her blaster. She aimed it at Marriette and the white hat, but couldn’t get a clear shot.

Aldrek climbed out, and got hold of the trooper. He shook the guy up, and threw him outside. He closed the hold, and raced out to the cockpit. “I’m going to fly this plane outta here. Anyone gonna be my co-pilot?”

Marriette called out. “Me… though I’d be late a few minutes.” Ellie had insisted she should be injected with serum, to be on the safe side. The cargo hold was closed.

Joel manned the guns. “I bet those troopers alerted those who’re above. We’d be in trouble any second now, so lemme suggest that we head over in another direction, then just double back.”

Ellie shook her head as she settled into the navigator’s chair. “No chance Joel. We’re almost outta juice. Its just enough to make it back…”

“The kid’s right. We just gotta take our chances.” Aldrek said. “Where’s Lance?”

“Dropped him at the quarters. A couple of wookies are watching over him.” Marriette said, as she made her way to the co-pilot’s seat.

“I’m going.” Aldrek took off, and was surprised to find no one in the space waiting for them. “Oh well, I’m punching it.”

“I’ve got bad feeling about this.” Ellie said. She walked over to the quarters and was just going to check on Lance when the whole ship shook. Ellie ran over to the cockpit. “What in the space was that?”

Aldrek gritted his teeth. “No time to bug us kid. We’re caught under the tractor beam of the interdictor ship.”

Ellie sighed. “Anybody got a plan?”

“Yeah. Put those on, and follow me.” Joel said, who just came from the gun turrets.

* * *

Marriette complained in her stormtrooper outfit. “Its hot in here guys!”

Ellie pouted. “I was supposed to be in there.” She told her self quietly. Joel told her that she’ll be a prisoner, the one whom they ‘caught’ at Gallimoore. All the wookies now wear binders, so that they’ll be the guys who are being shipped. Aldrek is a ‘captive’ too, and Lance is just another trooper who got hurt. Joel is the imperial officer who’s in-charge.

“Unknown driver, please Identify.”

Joel coughed. “Captain Keshnel, imperial officer.”

“Where are you from and where are you heading?”

“Gallimoore. We are off to Endor, to drop these wookies off.”

“Sorry if we stopped your course captain. You may go.”

Joel punched it, and they were all back to base.

* * *

“I never believed it would be that easy. Those guys are like… amateurs.” Joel said to Ellie, as she settled back in the sick bay of the ship. She injected Lance with the serum again and checked his foot. It was completely healed, and Joel’s few injuries from that crazy hijack plan they had was bandaged.

“I wonder why we’re never hurt Mar.” Ellie smiled at Mariette. “And yeah, They’re like amateurs. Never even thought we’re not really from the empire. Maybe they got a plan or something.”

“Kid, all I know is you’re a lucky member to our team.” Aldrek laughed, as he walked in the sick bay. “Come on guys, we need to head to the briefing room.”

Joel laughed. “I’m ready to take down that second death star.” The team walked over to the briefing room. “How’re you feeling kid?”

Ellie waved at the other medics. “Like I can take down the whole empire by myself.”

Marriette laughed, and mussed Ellie’s hair. “I know the feeling.” They all laughed, and walked over to the briefing room, ready to start another mission. *END*
