Hey guys, I was wondering how to make that blurry background kind? It always looks nice, and I wanted to try it.

Filters > Blur > Motion Blur

But it still doesn't give that kind of blurry effect 😛, like say in Lana's sig right now!

Btw, i'm working a sprite sig right now.

Motion Blur is what I used 😛

man...i like never use filters..besides blurs

I've been experimenting with using filters and I really don't like the look they give most of the time, though sometimes it can be pretty cool.

Okey, I got the blurring, but ALana, you blur in the background using a render? Or some way other?

I know if I use a blur, it's usually either Clouds, or just some simple brushing.

Pretty much, I duplicated the render, moved it to cover the entire background, merged those layers, and motion blurred them.

There's a bit more to how I did it in this sig, but I'm not giving away my secrets 😉
