hmmm later on in DC comics it was stated that a whole pantheon or even all the earth pantheons couldnt stop Darkseid hmmm wonder how powerful that makes Pre-Crisies Darkseid?

Power wise DC Ares is above. Hes more the Mars of rome. Marvel Ares is more the original greek version. A better figther.

doesnt MU ares have trouble with Herc losing to him while DCU Ares defeated all the heros of DC earth almost?

Hercules and Ares I think are equal, but hercules has defeated more often then not. I heard the same thing that ares is suppose to get an upgrade in the end of the series, I say have and wait and see at the end of ares 6-part miniseries.

DC Ares seems to act like more a manipulator, like Loki - getting pawns to do his dirty work. Not like Marvel Ares, who gets his hands dirty and revels in the bloodshed. Curious.

From what I've seen, Skyfathers at DC are somewhat less powerful than the ones at Marvel. The power of Marvel's Odin & Zeus doesn't diminish if there is a lack of belief in them in the world - that's how DC Ares was able to get more powerful than other Gods.

Their fighting styles would be a contrast. DC Ares would be full of bragging bravado, while Marvel Ares would be lunging to bite his ear off. 😄

DC Ares pwns Marvel Ares. He has absolute control of all weapons and he controls the dead.
