Tolkien VS REH

For those who do not know, Robert E. Howard (I think the "E" stands for "Edward", but I don't remember) is the man who invented Conan the Barbarian as well as the savage, prehistoric world he lives in, Hyboria. I hear that Tolkien read Howard's work and liked it...does anybody have any more info on that? And what do you think of REH's characters, fictional world, ideas, etc. compared to Tolkien's?

Tolkiens world is so sumpremley vast when compared to Conan.

By a LONG shot.

TOLKIEN..............far greater imagination.

Tolkien. No one has spent their entire lives working on their world. Tolkien was ever writing down ideas when he was in World War I on his spare time.

Tolkien deffiantly!
