First Band Practice

Me and a new band formed and had our first band practice today. It was terrible; everybody doing their own things. Is this normal?

my friend is in a band and he is good so I would not expect him to mess up

We were thinking of having a saxaphone in one song!

Its just the fact that they are trying to do really hard songs! I mean we haven't even practiced properly but they want to do a guns n roses song!

Do any of you know how hard it is to do a 5 minute Slash solo! Your fingers are torn at the end of it!

Well maybe its not a good idea to do hard songs because my friend has done something weird to his wrist.

Problem is it involves doing a jazz song. It doesn't really appeal to our demographic. 😬

Anyway the only reason we are doing it is so our friend gets to play in it. It would be great for him.

Yea but nothing heavy. No metal or anything. Oasis, I'd like to do some Stereophonics, maybe some Killers, Bloc party.

Some of it is rock, Brit Pop. That sort of stuff.
