Nashville, cuz there isn't another good team in the West. Calgary, Vancouver, Nashville, and maybe San Jose...maybe...
Look how the tides have turned. The East has been considered weaker for so many years but now its the East who is on top...and Philly riding the wave.
We'll get a chance to watch the "Beast" in action on Wednesday.
Flyers Rangers baby!
With an exquisite goalie in Vokoun, a stellar defense led by Zidlicky and Timonen, and a hard-working offense including Kariya, Walker, and Sullivan, I think Nashville will be a formidable foe to any Western Conference opponent.
calgary or vancouver will take the west. both teams are friggen awesome this season. and san jose. doesn't really look that impressive from their roster, but it definantly looks impressive to have a perfect preseason!!! nashville will make the playoffs, and possibly, i said possibly, make the conference finals, but that's as far as they'll get.
Watched the Leaf-Sens game.
Im a Leafs fan (just to get it out before i say something).
The sens played like shit considering they're number 1 contenders for the Cup. Leafs played good until the 10:00 of the third period.
Surpraises for the leafs: lindros and allison played well and I think they will be good all season if they dont get injured.
Leafs will be a hard team to beat but I still think they will be on the losing end of close games.
After watching the shootout, I still ****ing hate it. It's a lousy end to a good hockey game because it leaves you with no conclusion on who the better team was. Its completly defeats the purpose of being a team game, and puts alot more emphasis on having more skilled players.
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How the **** could the Flyers lose to the Rangers...
the BLOODY Rangers................!!!
They lose on my birthday...WTF is that...
It boils my blood...but tis ok...just the first game of the season...
I hope they don't play that lazy during the rest of the season...Where the hell was the PP...WHERE???!!!
Not even Forseberg can drag such blunder out of the gutter...
HAHAHA...which of you tools said that Nashville wasn't going anywhere..
Check the standings ppl...Preds are 1 of only undefeated teams...
They're not even close to being my favorite but I can still judge a good team when I see it...so the rest of you don't let your personal biases and team opinions cloud your professional judgement...
Because it makes you seem foolish...
PS: Flyers 06 bia!!!
Calgary finally had 1 good game...Unbefreakinleivable. I have them as #2 seed in their division... WTF mate. They won against the Oilers, big deal...only 1 of the worst teams in the NHL. I'm very dissapointed ...no talent ass clowns...
Why can't they play like that against normal teams...They played Phoenix...and got shut out by Cujo... where the hell is Iginla???
In fact, where the hell are Lecavalier and St. Louis???
Tampa sux the big 1 this year....fuk, I should've known!!
See, I had a feeling these guys would be 1 hit wonders...well...St. Louis anyways...but I didn't want to look inept...now I know I was right.
Meanwhile...I was physically repulsed by the Flyers' special teams...I really wanted to hurl...I think I'm gonna write a letter to Hitchcok and ***** about how he's running 1 of the most talented teams in the NHL into the ground. A penalty kill isnt that hard...why the FUK do you have more then 1 person covering a man...OMFG...and don't cluster around the net...cuz Esche that dushebag can't even stop a point shot!
PS: If someone is within shooting range of Nittymaki...you know what to do!
Dude, calm the **** down.
The season hasnt been past 10 games yet.
a) I thought pheonix was suppose to be the 2nd best in the Western Conference, according to you
b)Tampa is first in the thier division, with lecavalier having 6 points. Oh i guess 7 games really tell what a player will do. Ok, so I guess Iginla for Calgary will be one of the worst player's in the league with his 4 points.
c) and for Philly, well, it takes a team to gel when you get rid of its two leaders and replace them with new players.
Buddy, if you know anything about hockey or team sports with more than 17 games, you should know that 7 games isnt the end of the world.
So calm the **** down.
It's not the end of the world...true...but you can see what the season is shaping out to be like.
I stand by when I say that Phoenix should be great...they have an amazing roster...although the loss of Hull is tre unfortunate.
I'm still shocekd at the success of NYR and Buffalo...they're really ruining my hockey bracket.
Also at how much Calgary and Phoenix are sucking...I hope they start winning. Also, I seem to recall that some of you predicted a balls of the wall gameplay by Pittsburg.
Needless to say...that hasn't happended...and you can argue that their games have been close and they've been in overtime very often but the point is, they're giving up a rediculous amount of goals...exactly like I said they would. They might have a sparked offense (very overrated),
but their defense sure does suck.
PS: Esche was my hero last season but after downing 5 goals to the Rangers...I lost the faith...my original comment stands : Nittymaki must be offed!
The season hasnt played out.
At 20 games, yes. But not at 7-8 games.
True, Pittsburgh has allowed alot of goals, and that might be thier downfall, but, thier offense is overrated at all. They're scoring 5-6 goals a game, and usually playing catch up to get those goals. Defense is weak, but offense is good.
