As for my picks... hmmm, I'll say:
Anakin vs. Obi-Wan (Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith)
-This was, by far, my favorite lightsaber duel. Not only was it very emotional, it was extremely well choreographed, and at the same time, it was not boring at all. It was very fast-paced and ended with one of the most memorable film scenes in the entire saga.
The Russian vs. The Punisher (The Punisher)
-This battle was great. Frank Castle took a doozey of a beating in this scene. I love battles that are brutal like this. At the same time, it was also humorous and it stayed true to the comic fight scene (for the most part).
Aragorn vs. Lurtz (Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring)
-This battle was awesome because I thought it was fairly realistic. It wasn’t very long, yet it was one of my favorite battles from the trilogy, because it was just so cool. When Aragorn decapitated Lurtz, everyone in the theater cheered. It was also a very brutal battle.
Neo vs. Agent Smith (The Matrix)
-When I first saw this fight, I was very impressed, and I still am today. The choreography was amazing and it was just so visually appealing. This fight was a good example of an “underdog” fight.
Achilles vs. Hector (Troy)
-I really liked the environment for this fight. It was so simple; just a vast desert outside the walls of Troy. This fight didn’t really rely on visuals, and it was focused solely on the two combatants. Plus the fight itself was really well done.
To explain...Gordon Liu is just the shit and so is the other guy. I mean martial arts that is not only crisp, fast, and clean is the best, but it was long as well and many many styles were choreographed in. As for Majin Vegeta and Goku in the buu saga........well, that's something you just have to experience. 🙂
