Are Asians bad drivers?

It seems like everywhere I go I always hear someone talking about how an Asian couldn't parallel park for 10 minutes or how an Asian is always driving badly on the road. Im not being prejudice but why do I always hear these remarks? My uncle use to live in these expensive apartments in San Jose and one time we watched an Asian try and parallel park for five minutes. He says that kind of stuff happens all the time when he watches from his porch.

I dunno what it's like in California, but here in Leicester in England we have the biggest population of Indian people outside of India, so I can categorically say this:

No, Indians per se, aren't bad drivers.

But old Indians who haven't adapted to driving in Britain, are.

The younger generation who have grown up in Britain are absoultely fine.

It's their parents and grandparents who still have the same mentality towards driving that they did in India who are bad at driving.

.....ah, what the hell.

Yes, they are.

Having wider eyes distorts their vision when "objects in the mirror may appear closer"

I find this thread inherrantly racist, labelling any group as bad at something based upon their ethnicity!

Then surely your sig is racist to the moustachio'd 80's men who were typecast as action stars.

As far as I know "Action Star" moustache wearing or not is not an ethnic group, please show me anything indicating it is AC.

Actually they extremely careful drivers. They follow every rule to the last decimal. But they sometimes overdo it. Which is why we can see them driving 20 miles under speed limit...

They're not BAD drivers. They're TOO GOOD drivers, ya know what I mean?

Please dont let this get off-topic.

Lies. Going 30 miles per hour under the speed limit constitutes bad driving and creates just as much danger as going 30 miles per hour over the speed limit.

Not in Leicester, in the UK mate. 🙂

But like I said, it tends to be the older generation who get on my nerves by blocking box junctions and ignoring right of way on roundabouts etc.

It might have more to do with their age and their reluctance to acclimatise to 'new' driving conditions than their actual ethnicity.

Like I said - I know a lot of young Indian men and most of them are good drivers.

It's just their parents and grandparents lol.

I said SOMETIMES! 😆

You're just jealous of them because they're so good at everything they do! 😈

I was going to make this thread about old people and asians but I listened to my gut 😐

*refrains from posting stereotypical asian joke* Except driving.

As far as i know Thailand and Hong Kong are the same as UK and Malta when it comes to driving on the proper side of the road.

Americans drive on the opposite side of the road and this confuses them.

TUK TUK !

Ya think? The title itself is racist... 😆

It depends on where someone has passed there test... If I took a test in half the driving centres around the world the hardest part would be driving in a straight line.. Some countries don't have a road system worthy of passing a test to use... And with such a low volume of cars on them its nearly impossible to crash..

Last hol I went on was to kos... And the roads and traffic system there was something a non-driver could deal with..

We learn to Parra park so that we can get into the tight gaps.. There isn't any tight gaps in kos...
