The adoping of roles and threir adapting to a story prove that it is!

Sure it is. Just some kiddos pretending to be bad, while recognising the fact it's just a role-play. The idea itself can lead to amusing plot-twists and creative storytelling, as long as people remember it's just an RP.

It doesn't fall under the idea of an RP as I see it. It's just a spontaneous themed social thread. If we closed threads on that basis, queeq's would go, the Gentleman's Club would never have been allowed, and so on.

If it becomes more game than social then it will go, but I doubt it.

If people are taking under the names of "Frankie Figgs" and such that would classify it as a RP, the gentlemans club wasn't like that.

But isn't that the basis of Unhosted RP's? Just running around "in character".

Even in Unhosted, there's much more 'game' involved than in threads like that.

'In character' is highly questionable there too, because the character seems to be... themselves, just in Mafia style.

I still think it should be moved, it doesn't fit here.

Oh, because someone adopting a name like that is the be-all and end-all if what is an RP or not? Lord no. As I remember it, half of queeq's bars were much more RP-like than that thread, and people would spend time doing rp-like things all the time. Doesn;t make the thread an RP.

Well, when I looked in that theead, in my judgment it had become much much much more like an Unhosted RP. Furthermore, there was quite a lot of buzz from people involved who actively wanted it to be a proper RP, and had made it so, away from being a social thread. There was even a movement to re-start it in Unhosted, but not enough people wanted to leave the OTF. (shrugs) There you go.

Yes it does...difference is Queeqs bars were acceptd by the majority as a social thread. Mafia Doesn't do that!

It's a gaming area! There's no way I am having non-games in there.

Sorry, but frankly I'm the expert here, and I am outright saying these things do not qualify as RPs in my opinion. Silly things like that theead belong in the OTF and will stay here.
