i remember those days. I won the spelling bee a number of times also and made it to the top round a couple times.
What i'll never forget or forgive myself for is in 8th grade, our last spelling bee ever b/c we would be moving to highschool next year, and on my first word, i spelled something wrong b/c I left out a letter that was silent, i should have known and as soon as the teacher corrected it and sat me down, i was so dumbstruck, I believe i was the first person to be seated.
bawling
is it comprehensible.....

"Dumbstruck" is it's own past tense, you don't need to add an "ed" to it. 😛 You lose again.
