May is awful. Idle Hands is hilarious, From Dusk till Dawn is hugely netertaining and for scary go with Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Dawn of the Dead.

Psh, Idle Hands is barely a horror movie. More like a comedy/horror. May was way better than Idle Hands, it actually had some meaning to it other than sex and stupid teenage pot heads. I did like Idle Hands, but its not serious like May.

It's hard to compare May with Idle Hands. One's a serious horror, the other comedic. Almost comparing apples with oranges.

Evil Dead 2-horror/comedy at its finest.
May-horrific, yet tragic and sad, horror film.
The Fly (1986)-one of the best horror films, IMO, that still reigns over most even today. The ending is very depressing.

It's more of a thriller/horror,but I thought The Relic was very good.

And just on shock value alone,you could try watching the unrated version of Ichi the Killer.
