A long time ago, officially, Ken used to not have a last name at all.
But when the action figure Ken came out, Mattel (makers of Barbie dolls)
sued Capcom for copyright infringement because Barbie's boyfriend is named
Ken, so Capcom had to make up an official last name for their own Ken in
order to differentiate Ken from Barbie's boyfriend. 😛Ken has most likely actually fought Akuma before or something. In SF3
Second Impact when you fight Shin Akuma with Ken (but only in the Japanese
version. Capcom USA cut out all the dialogues with Shin Akuma in the US
version-_-), Ken remarks, "You're still alive!?" then Akuma asks Ken to
show him that burning fist "once more". But... the only time that Ken
really could possibly have run into Akuma was back when he was witnessing
Akuma kill his master, since there aren't any other known storyline times
that the two would have fought. Most likely, Ken tried to interupt the
battle to save his master or so (which would be why Ken is still alive,
since Akuma would possibly spare him if it wasn't an actual challenge and
just Ken recklessly trying to save someone else). Well, on a
side-but-possibly-related-note, Akuma's dialogue to Ken in CvS2 indicates
that Akuma doesn't really take Ken very seriously, which would explain why
he didn't kill Ken (course, it could be just that Akuma didn't care to be
bothered with killing someone trying to intercede to save their master

Link has through many games been on great adventures, defeated many powerul foes, found many hidden treasures and a lot of other stuff. He is the second most well known character from Nintendo after Mario and before Luigi. EVen through its different Links in most of the games, they all acts the same: the tough serious guy with a sense of justice, which travels though big worlds and not giving in for anything. Link is wellknown for being one of the most powerful Nintendo-fighters. Here, i will post the traits of my favourite-Link: the one from Ocarina of time!

STRENGHT:
Link receives some magical gloves called "Golden Gauntlets", which makes him the strongest person in Hyrule. He can easily lift small mauntains and even without them, he is pretty strong for his age.
STAMINA:
Enormous. One of the best in videogamehistory. First off, he is already welltrained and is hard to knock out for a hylian. Secondly, he becomes so strong defensewise that giant rocks, bombs, arrow, buldingdestroying swords, powerful evil magic and many other things only scratches him a little, thanks to the hardcontainers. And his already godlike defense is doubled by the great fairy afterwards... that really rubberskin with class! and even though he is nearly unstopable, he can be revived up to 4 times if he has 4 fairys with him!
SPEED:
link is a VERY fast swordfighter with minimal loading time, and makes great combos to be a deadly force. he doesnt run overhumanly fast, but when wearing the bunny hood, his speed nearly doubles! his loadingtime is so little it really doesnt matter...
TECHNIQUE:
link is an great tactician, being able to solve all those puzzles, fighting so many different foes, and he is couragly enough to do nearly everything thanks to the Triforce of Courage, which rests in him.
SPECIAL ABILITIES:
link learns to do things even without weapons during his adventure. he learns to use magic, like the powerful Din´s Fire who just keeps piecing though areas, Nayru´s Love, which protects him from ALL damage in about two minutes and Farore´s WInd, which makes him able to teleport a good distance. also, in smash bros and smash bros melee, he shows that he is also able to kick well. also, when falling from high above, he can make a maneuver when he hits the ground to not take damage! and when swinging his sword, he can create deadly energywaves, known as the spin attack!
PROTECTILES:
for fast hits, link has a sharp boomerang and is a true master at using it, able to throw it, making it hit 5 targets, and return! for deadly hits, link has the light arrows, instantly killing evil beings, the firearrows and icearrows for enemies that are weak to them and normal arrows. and he hits very good. he can also throw bombs! and make bombchus quickly run against his foes on the floor and explode! he also has a slingshot😄
SPECIAL FEATURES:
the master sword cant be destroyed, is way more powerful than other swords and is the ultimate sword against evil! also, his mirror shield cant be destroyed either, and can deflect any energytypeprotectile thrown at it back at its user. link also has a goron tunic which makes him resistant to fire, and fairys to bring him back to live 4 times when he dies! and his zora tunic makes him unable to drown! also, he can use the pegasus boots to fly for 2 seconds over short distances and has a hookshot to draw things close to him in a instant! also, he can paralyze/blind enemies with ndeku nuts with explodes with a big range of light!
and he can do more deadly things, but now you should get the idea about his powers😉

thats why i think link wins... i dont see ryu doing much damage to him, a being superior in strenght... his speed to move is greater than links, but link slashes without loading time and ryu cant dodge a sword like bullets...
I hate Link and all his Nintendo buddies. He sucks along with every other Nintendo character. I also hate Metal Gear Solid. They are far to overrated and not just in this forum, but every where
SF and Mega Man are O.K., they aren't really overrated, they are just recognized.
Now Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Soul Calibur, Rival Schools, and Jet Set Radio are the best to me.
