How come the Jedi couldn't even have attachment to people. What about their masters? Didn't they mean a lot to their padawans. Besides the fact that it is impossible to go through life without loving people.

Plus, wouldn't a life without love be lonely and pathetic. How can you fight evil if you don't care about anybody?

As Anakin specifies, they ARE allowed to love!

But a Jedi who becomes attached then becomes afraid of losing that attachment and fear is VERY dangerous to a Jedi.

Over-attachment makes that fear impossible to control. But it is not as if they have to never care about anything!

Remember, Jedi are good guys, and those rules are there for a reason.

You took him too literally. He said that compassion was essential to their lives which he personally would describe as an unconditional love.

But yet, they ARE allowed to love. But they are not allowed to become over-attached. It is too damgerous, as the films will show. It's pretty simple, really.
