Tower of Babel and Infinite Crisis

Ok, so I was reading Tower of Babel (a JLA comic where Ra Ghaul is taking out League members right and left) and it was revealed that Batman kept secret files on the JLA and non-lethal ways of stopping them. For example Flash usually vibrates as soon as a bullet touches his skin, so Batman develops a vibrating bullet. Among the other strategies outlined and used in Tower of Babel was Red Kryptonite which would disable Superman but not kill him. Well the JLA stops Ra, and then they all get mad at Batman for making these non-lethal traps against them. Batman leaves the League for a while and eventually patches things up.

Ok, now move on the current events in the DC universe. Another Batman plan gone awry (the Brother Eye Satellite, think X-men Sentinels hidden in human sleeper agents) and some psionic mastermind takes control of Superman. “Oh, how can we stop Superman without killing him” cries Wonder woman, and she ends up killing the psionic.

My point is WHY NOT JUST USE THE RED KRYPTONITE outlined in Tower of Babel? At least make reference to Batman having been right. Wonder Woman was all “I don’t trust Batman, he should be off the team!” Well Wonder Nut, if you had had a non-lethal way of stopping Superman you wouldn’t of had to kill anyone! Anyone else notice the parallel?

Does it say what other non lethal ways batman had to take out members of the JLA?

Well what do you expect, Wonder Woman isn't as smart as Batman lol

Didnt bruce and diana have some sort of relationship during the obsidian age?

I saw a pic of them kissing on another thread... the JLA should have been ultra- pissed with Bruce for OMAC after Babel! Wonder Woman's a hypocrite.... end of story! Also, the OMAC stuff would have been SO much cooler if not for the awesome Babel having been a very similar idea!

Wasnt his way of stopping Wonder Woman lethal? Or at least possibly lethal, his plan was to induce a heart attack, and Martian Manhunter and Aquaman would have died from his plans.

That's just a really stupiod miscarrige of batman's character!

hid plans were potentally lethal but didn't outright kill them. He knew Aquaman and Manhunter wouldn't die right away so if they ever went crazy he could stop them for long enough to figure out what was wrong. Same thing with wonder woman, yes she might die from a heart attack eventually but Batman would use the time it bought him to figure out what was wrong then let her go. It's like his other weapons, you could kill someone with a tazer or a grappling gun but Batman only uses those things at worst to wound someone until he can find a solution.

I see what ya mean...

cool

What's cool?
