Signature 'Advice' Thread

Change the font, add a stroke or drop shadow, and play with the blend mode and/or opacity.

Try and pick fonts that fit the image.

Finding just the right text is so harrd. Dropping shadow, adding strokes, way 2 hard. Anywayz if any of you guys out there are good text makers I think most people would appreciate a tutorial lol.

....umm....the advice I gave you basically WAS a tutorial. It takes no more than 30 seconds to do those things.

It's not hard at all, it's probably the easiest and most basic part of the sig.

Ok My brother got me photoshop but i'm not sure he got the full version or not does anything come up on the free trial like on PSP?

Okay, question about the sig I have up right now. it has to be saved as a .gif, what's the best quality .gif? (adaptive, perspect(or something like that...) interlace) so many choices!!!!

I'm making a sig of General Grievous, and I made the focus dark and eery. His eyes are so dark that you can barely even see the pupils. I was wondering if it'd look cool if I added little red lights where his pupils should be so it'd look more evil and stuff?

Red evil eyes on Grievous? No, don't do it.

Take the Dodge tool (if you have Photoshop) and lightly brush around his eyes to bring some of the original color back.

Shit... I didn't read your post and went ahead and did it... Maybe I can edit it out. But how?

Does this look any better than my current sig?

...well on a white background, Grievous is way too dark and you can't tell what he is.

Use a Levels adjustment layer, and bring out the white a tad bit more.
