The Sentry (mini-series)

There was a thread a while back about issue 1, but this is to talk about the whole mini-series. (Issue 5 of 8 is out now)

What do people think about it?

I liked the first 3 issues but I felll asleep reading issue # 4&5.

I like it. The revelation in #5 was pretty cool.

Yeah, i think it's been a great read so far. Especially #5.

revelation?

i've been wondering what's been going on with sentry and his shrink and the nature of the void and all that. anyone care to elaborate?

Well everything still isn't clear yet but in #5 it was revealed that Robert is actually the Void and Sentry is the imaginary entity instead of the other way around.

Was it the void who said it?
the void could just be lying......since he's the void.

It was said by his Doctor. Then Sentry split off from Robert and you see Robert standing there in the trenchcoat Void wears holding a gun to his Doctor's head and asking Sentry if he's faster than a speeding bullet. He pulls the trigger and the issue ends.

Oh and Void threw an airplane into a guys house because he suspected he was sleeping with his wife. That's pretty hardcore. 😆

my bad. I heard it was the void that said it.

I wish I still had enough money to buy this book. Had to drop it at issue two because financial reasons.

That sucks man... The past couple issues have lacked action quite a bit, but I'm still intrigued with the storyline. I like it so far.

SnakeEyes, how do you have such a huge-tastic sig?

Someone must've allowed it.

I got my sig before there were stricter limitations put on the size. If I changed it to something else, and then wanted it back, I couldn't because it's too big.

I remember when you first got that sig, I thought it was the most awesomest, coolest, bestest piece of art that I'd ever seen. 😛

It is an awesome sig.......................

I've been wondering, y'know how in the New Avengers arc Sentry got to completely start off with a clean slate. No one remembering him but Reed.

Well, it doesn't really seem like that in the Sentry book. What with all the people raving on about how "Sentry don't ever get beat", "it's the Sentry wow!" and crap like that.

Is it just that the people off Marvel U have warmed to him extremely quickly or what?

Probably the creator just ignoring what Bendis did.

so, wait, what? an imaginary superhero's been getting counseling, where it's revealed that he's really just the imaginary counterpart to a non-counselled supervillain?

Correct. The only thing Jenkins told Bendis to do was establish that Sentry was back in the Marvel Universe. They didn't talk about anything beyond that.
