Some news on the animated series: Anakin is gonna have a padawan.... I dunno if that's a good thing.

The series, for those who don't know or rememebr, takes place between AOTC and ROTS.

well, not much of what gl has done in recent years has been within the realm of good ideas. while obiwan was granted a padawan just after becoming a jedi, that was under extreme circumstances. not only that but its obvious that said padawan will somehow be killed. so i guess he'll be like kenny from south park.

I dread the Clone Wars animated series now... Anakin has a padawan... tsssssss....

Wow.. in the cinema's. Canon's gonna be all screwed up. Looks good.

Too bad the preview doc basically says Lucas didn't find a way to tell Anakin's story in three movies properly, as well as his firendship with OB1... The guy in the [preview doc said that due to the animated series Anakin's conversion will have a great impact. Why couldn't George manage that in the three movies??

I say they should have picked the New Republic era for animation. I'd kill to see an animated adaption of the Thrawn series.

But that's EU.

I don't like Anakin having a padawan. That just doesn't make sense.

Ah, but will it be EU? If computer games are suddenly considered canon and the animated series will contribute to the films... maybe they will end up as canon.

No... but they clealryu link it to movies. This animator supervisor or whatever , said GL could finally add more to the relationship between Anakin and OB1 in the animated series, something he couldn't get to in the movies and that it will enhance the drama of Anakin's fall in ROTS. A) How weird, he had three movies to make that relationship work (but failed, I agree) B) if we need it to 'feel for ROTS' then it should be canon. It almost sounds like patchwork for the movies.

The game looks better.

And that is probably what it was made for...patchwork...GL realized he missed a few things...so fix them up by making a TV series and labelling it canon.

He's just making the filmsaga worse then.
