Even the LA times referrs to this movie as canon. Its likely that the TV show is just an extension.

Then perhaps, we should be merging all canon (TV, PT, OT) SW forusm together instead of having only one conversation running in each.

MAny people around Lucas and LUcasfilm claim that it's canon. yet NO OFFICIAL SOURCE from LFL has confirmed that. That's very odd and it's not canon until they do.

So what is it going to be? If it's not movies (Because in all honesty it's part of a TV show that is being put into movie form), and it's not EU, then what? Is lucas going to me more of a... well you get the picture... and make yet another universe?

no... this is a milking of a successful series for even more money... Lucas stopped caring about story/quality long aggo.

If i were in charge, i would have 123456 and the CW in one forum section, and EU in another. This means that CW is neither PT or OT, but its own thing, but must be discussed in continuity with the rest of star wars. It should be treated as canon in both the movie forum and the eu forum, because the tv show was eu, but the movie is star wars honest to goodness george lucas directed movie.

I'm getting a little sick and tired of these moaners about teh status of both the tv series as well as its place on this forum. If you don't like it here, just leave. No one is forcing you to stay.

im thinking that the original 2d animated tv show should remain in the eu. The fate of the 3d movie and tv show should be decided after it has been created.

Which is the intention of this forum and always has been.

I do think the tv shows stand out. They'r muich bigger than anything that has been done apart from the movies and intended to last much longer. On the other hand, Lucas has also said about the live action series that it's not about the Skywalker family, so that does sound like genuine EU.
As for the Clone Wars... who knows.
