Blood. It's nature's lube

I can understand the RTS games, and I see where you're coming from with the FPS, but personally it's not for me.Even after I bought a high end mouse it would jump around and I'd suddenly be looking at the floor or the ceiling when playing a FPS on my computer. Needless to say I would get killed fast.
As I said, it does take getting used to. Some mice, if moved too quickly will do as you said.
But if you get used to it, it's a huge upgrade. The controls match your fast reflexes so much better with a mouse and keboard. Like, you hear something behind you, and you twitch your mouse, and the screen instantly turns, where as with Console games, the speed at which you can turn is hampered by the limitations of the control stick.
I remember when I really got into PC gaming. Half Life had just come out, and my previous FPS experience had been mostly consoles (with some Doom and Duke Nukem on the PC, which had a different control style) and was used to using the control stick. Needless to say it took major getting used to. For a while I used the arrows on my keyboard because it was so wierd looking around with a mouse and having your other hand on the keyboard. But after I got used to it, there was no turning back. Now when I try to play console shooters I have trouble, and the limitations on the speed at which you can turn bothers me.
Different currency, a GTX would cost me $1120, I could buy a new computer for that.
Yeah, didn't occur to me that you had different currency. A GT is suppose to be really damn good. I just hope I didn't make a mistake with buying an AGP card. I was in a tough spot. I have an older model Mobo while still having a good CPU, one that doesn't have a PCI express slot. I wanted to upgrade to PCI but then I'd have to get a new model MOBO, and get a new CPU even though the one I have now is still quite good, AND get a new graphics card, would have cost me upwards of $600 for all of that. I probably would have gotten a 7800 GT, which is a little bit better then the card I got, I think.
