does anyone know who the first darth was?
its been bugging me for a while

Ignore him. Canonly it's supposed to be Darth Bane, or so I hear, but far as I know, Darth Revan is.

My best guess would be Darth Bane is, but i know its not right.

Revan is.

Before Revan was Exar Kun, but he did not take the title of darth.

I wonder what spurred Revan into adding the Darth title before his name.

For quite some time Bane was the first user of the title. But the KOTOR creators thought Darth Revan and Darth Malak would sound cool, so they decided to screw up the continuity of its origins.
