Battle of popularity Captain America versus Superman

Who has the most support from the citizens of the respective cities Captain America the walking flag and embodiment of American ideals
or Superman with his rhetoric of truth, justice, and the american way.
Which one of the icons is more over with there citizens?

Superman almost has a religion based around him, he's almost a god to alot of people...

Superman by far.

Not to mention that it's not just in Metropolis... or on Earth, he's revered as such around the universe.

Exactly, the war of gog being a prime example...

If it's just America, I think I would give it to Cap. Universe wide, it's Supes.
But Cap is likely more popular in foreign countries. Because he tries to be the diplomat. Sometimes, Superman makes other world leaders and people uneasy; when he decides to play God with human destiny, on occasion.
