Why didn't Marvel make any " flag ship " characters drastically different? Why not have Ultimate Captain America be black? Why not have Ultimate Spider-Man be hispanic? Why not have Ultimate Wolverine be homosexual, bisexual and whatever else sexual there is? None of the extremely popular characters are obscurely and drastically different. Why?

Considering it's suppose to be Ultimate Colossus, I understand the drastic change. But why did they only limit it to a few characters? Colossus, Mr. Sinister, Vision, Ga-Lak-Tus, Nick Fury. Etc. My concern is they didn't drastically alter the flag ship characters to a point they were " different " and " interesting ". Why didn't they change up the Fantastic Four? Or Spiderman? Or Captain America? Why didn't they try something NEW with Hulk? If you're going to make alterations to characters why didn't Marvel go all out?They picked a few nobodies that wouldn't stir controversy or interests.
