"Ugn.." Marie groaned to herself, she wasn't in the mood to talk to anybody.. she wa still a bit annoyed with John. But still she turned to him as if nothing was wrong. "Marie, but I doubt you'll remember it. We probably wont see each other again after this. What a coincidence, huh?" she asked.

Zen: "I'm Zen, didn't I see you with a man named John yesterday?????"

She blinked at his simple response. "Yes you did... don't get things mixed up though. There's nothing between us, never will be, and I've only just met him yesterday as well." She started walking again, she felt funny just standing in one spot.

Zen: "I didn't think so. Why are you so angry?" *he watied for her response*

"It's nothing really. He just comments on anything and everything, particularly my clothes." She looked down at her outfit, then at his and sighed when she noticed the difference.

After a little while, John began to feel uneasy, as he always did, alone in the house, chaning into his leather pants and throwing on his jacket, he got on his bike and began to speed aimlessly around, bored.

Marie was still walking around aimlessly by herself, she had lost Zen somehow and she noticed it was geting dark. Suddenly, she stopped in mid-step. "They're here..."

John continued speeding through the darkness, seeing easily.......in the distance he saw MArie, but she didnt look happy........

It was too quiet for comfort, the only sound she heard was the sound of John closing in behind her. "Great timing, finally decide to get your butt off the couch?" she asked as he approached.

"Well I got the feeling you didnt want my company. Everything ok?" He pulled up beside her.

"I don't think so. Look around you and tell me what's wrong." The sun was now down entirely and the shadows seemed to close in around them. There were no people to be seen.

John looked around, he peered into the darkness, and saw a faint movement............."We aren't alone.........but" his voice became worried......."I cant see what it is." Panic entered his voice "Get on!"

"Do you always run away from your troubles?" she asked, not taking this as seriously as she probably should. "You don't know what they are, do you?" she pulled out her blade... which seemed out of nowhere.

I know that if I cant see them properly.............theyre something nobody's meant to see.........."he raised his voice..."Get on!"

"i will not!" she screamed. "I will explain to you later, but for now..." she raised her blade as a figure formed out of the shadows right in front of them. "we need to fight."

John looked at her expression, stepped off the bike and began streaming light towards the shadows...........

"They're called Oni. They appear mostly at night out from the shadows, no one knows what they are, whether they're spirits or not." Slicing through one of them, it slowly healed itself.

"Then why are we fighting them? What do they want?" Johnshot a blast of light into one.....it staggered, and faded away.

Marie grumbled under her breath at his easy attempt. "They're supposed to go around takin care of people who are causing problems. But for some reason they're turning on innocent people..."

John frowned as he shot more light at another one, until it too faded, "Since when is anyone innoccent?" he grunted. Two of the Oni moved in at him, he kept one at bay with a sphere of light, but the other pierced his side......he fell to the ground, his skin, unusually dull.
He was conscious but unable to move.....
