Okay, seriously, how would a clear grassy field do anything to alter the fact that Luke would kick his ass? I'm not a big fan of Luke-I-fancy-my-sister-Skywalker, but I'm even less of a fan of Boba-I-chug-bantha-cock-Fett. They were fighting pretty evenly on the skiff, and Luke was still able to beat Boba pretty easily. The bit where he got whooped by Han was just adding humiliation to his defeat. Nothing irks me more than the fanboys who think Boba Fett is the coolest shit since sliced bread, because there is no evidence on screen at all of him being in any way slick or talented. When he flew into the sail barge and fell into the Sarlaac, Jango was probably spinning in his grave...

EU my ass. Most of it has been rendered inaccurate by the PT anyway. I appreciate this is an EU forum, but that still doesn't take precedence over canon movie fact.
Actually, only a few facts from Boba's backstory have been rendered "inaccurate" by the PT (and they could easily be modified to fit the new canon).
These are what have been retconned:
1) Boba Fett's original name was Jaster Mereel.
2) Boba Fett had KDY custom-build Slave I
3) Boba Fett joined the stormtroopers after being exiled from Concord Dawn.
That's about everything I can think of that has been absolutely retconned. Much of it can still be modified to fit into current canon. For example:
Boba Fett could have lived on Concord Dawn under the name of Jaster Mereel and become a Journeyman Protector between the PT and OT.
Okay, everyone is so eager to say that Boba, or any other person worth mentioning, would beat Luke because he grew up on a farm and not in the completely protected and sheltered fancy Jedi temple. Well then, why did Boba get his gun sliced in half by the exact same Luke, and then Luke went on to kill like 18 other on screen mercs worthy to personally escort Jabba? He would have wasted Boba had he not had to deal with other mercs and look out for his friends. Boba is good, and I am a personal fan of him, but he couldn't beat Luke.
Oh yeah, and there is force choke too.
I would like to hear any good rebuttals to my arguments. Not just something like, "Luke didn't have as much training as PT Jedi" because personally, I don't care. It doesn't have much relevance to the subject. Also make sure you address the force choke issue. Please and thank you.
Yeah, just like how Boba shot him in the face when they had an actual encounter.... in the movie... when Boba had a crapload of mercs on his side. Wait, that didn't happen, did it? No. No it didn't. Boba flew next to Luke, got his gun cut in half, was no longer a threat to Luke, so he went on to take out some mercs while protecting his friends. Luke could kill him, with relative ease. When I say these things I don't mean them to discredit Boba, I'm a fan of his, they are to credit Luke, who is better than you guys seem to think.
He did. You should listen to Fozzyfan116. We can just reimagine the movies and imagine our favorite characters as being better because the OT is old, the technology was inferior, the choreography was inferior, and GL was unambitious and lazy. Thus, by his reasoning, I can assume that Boba would be fast enough to shoot Luke in the face.
We could, if you want, but both these characters are from the same era. So why are you mentioning the PT? Like I said, it has very little to do with this.
I'm not imagining my favorite character as better than he is, I'm retelling a part of the movie, because obviously, you guys needed to be reminded.
