I'd say this fight would be rather equal. The GL ring is able to create forcefields strong enough to withstand Superman's punches, huge ass explosions. etc etc etc
His offensive ability is quite remarkable too. He's not that bad in H2H because he can generate.. Let's say Superman around his own body. (I know it sounds silly)
I'm not going to post what Thor's capable of doing because everyone here seems to know what he's able to do.
Thor's a brawler. I'm not sure wether he'd go directly for the godblast (I doubt it) GL can dish out helluva lot of damage in a short period of time.
I'd say it depends largely what the two combatants would do. If either one would underestimate the opponent, he would fail shortly.
It's really hard to decide who's better, because both of these characters are so insanely powerful.

Actually, in that atomic blast, Kyle Rayner made a bubble protecting the entire population of that one city in Russia. That f*ckin force field must have been at least 5 miles in diameter, if not, more. Enclosed just around himself, he could endure blasts on the level of supernovas.

he could do it more easly to focus on him self and not the people
