what happened between the end of Kotor to Bane's time?

there was a 2000 year difference, and sometihng mustve happend in that time...if its out there, can anyone link me up? im not to knowledable about that time period

So, it's basically what happened between the thousand years between KotOR and the rise of the new Sith order.
