Gwen Stacy
Ben Reilly
Spider-man

This scene has lost a bit of luster thanks to the big giant retcon machine that was Green Lantern Rebirth but it's still likely my favorite moment in comics much less favorite death.

1) Kevin in The Hard Goodbye that guy is freaky HE NEVER SCREAMS
2) Ben Reiley in Spiderman at the hands of the sinister Green Goblin it was very action packed
3) Cyclops/Scott Sommers in X men Essential that was also action packed and just when the X men thought they had won as well

There are so many, its hard to mention them all, but Supergirls death in the original crisis is rather memorable.

When the hell did Cyclops die?

hes never died to my knowledge dammit!

Me neither...

well...when he jumped into the way and was turned into apocylops or suming...bt they all thought he was dead bt he wasnt he was jst trapped inside apoc bt they found in in egypt and banished apoc

In the Ultimates I loved it when the Hulk was having trouble killing that one alien/german dude (I can't believe I don't remember his name). No matter what the Hulk did the guy just kept regenerating himself so the Hulk eats the guy. The on image that stands out is the hulk eating the guys head. That just figgin genius. Then they had to run test on the gamma active stool samples from the Hulk.

I think Captain Marvel's Death was one of the most dramatic and well done departures in comics.

Arguably, the most important/significant death in comics was that of Ben Parker.

The Joker snapping his own neck in Dark Knight Returns.

Solomon Grundy's death in Starman was pretty touching. Just as he hooks you as a lovable oaf he saves Jack Knight and co. from being crushed under a mall, says he's sorry for all his past incarnations' wrongdoings with a tear in his eye, then collapses under the wreckage. It's probably pretty cliche but it tugged at my heartstrings.
