Yeah, PNGs are made to blend seamlessly with anything (unless it's in IE).

While i'm downloading Web Brushes and Spider Brushes...

You could zoom up to the full zoom, so you see all the pixels, and delete all the pixels over the Grey/colored pixels, pixel by pixel. Usually there's a small layer of grey colored pixels over any picture to make the edges look smooth 😉, Thats how I render my pictures.
