I was supposed to be reading a Greek Play over the summer. I've got to read it and write an essay on it for Monday. So I started reading it and it's about some guy murdering his father then marrying his mother and having kids!!!! The wife is like basically there to have child after child and I was wondering whether they actually wanted hundreds of children or whether they just needed some contraception.

That's a really horrible interpretation of Oedipus.
I was more thinking geneticly. Since you are of the same family the chances of a mentaly or physicaly underdeveloped child would be larger than usual ermm
I do not believe it is wrong in any way to be attracted or even love at a relationship level someone of your relatives around the same age, as long as this does not make anyone else suffer, like for example bringing a retarded child to life.
I do not either have anything against retarded people, but why take chances that is of no need to be taken 🙂
