That indicate insecurity, but not regret.. They knew they would be massivly outnumbered and they knew they would die in only a matter of time.. They didn't even think they would last as long as they did.. They died for their country, simply.. And they had a great impact on Santa Anna's forces.. I just find the whole thing admirable..
