sometimes its just baffling. like american psycho is based on bateman's sexuality. yet they always hint as his nakedness, daring only a butt shot every now and then. now compare that to any female sexuality driven film, like Babel or Gia. the actress walks around nude while the camera captures her from all angles.

I see your point, but it all depends on how you look at it.
American Psycho is more than his sexuality, it's a stab at the Yuppie culture and it shows a person descending into madness. Yes, his sexuality plays an important part, but it's vital to show his character for what he is. An animal. Nothing more. I haven't seen Babel or Gia so I can't comment. 😛
Why not look at an actress being captured from all angles, while nude, as a tribute to the work of art she is?
