What happened there?
During the Vietnam War, the students were protesting. It was events that took place over like 4 days after Nixon announced troops had moved into Cambodia. Students held protests and the campus ROTC building was burnt down on May 2nd, the same day the Governor of Ohio called in the National Guard.
Long story short, the Guard had martial law on the campus, on May 4th a protest was scheduled for noon on the commons. The University tried to ban the gathering because of what happened earlier but it didn't work and the students gathered anyway. The Guardsmen moved in because they thought another violent protest might happen. Some other events happened in like the span of 2 hours or so that caused the Guardsmen to fire at the students. 4 people were killed and 9 were wounded.

I am not a crook, yeah right....what a fool.
Today we finally deiced what our song would be. It was hard choice since every other song just brought memories of each others EX's. Not the most romantic song but works for us because we'll still be able to listen to this song 60 years later on our death beds and it will still have alot of meaning to us then as it does now.
