I just spent 30 minutes reading a thread over on IMDB. The thread was in the Apocalypse Now forum and some guy was b*tching about the cow that is killed at the end. I know no one will care, but if I don't add this in you won't understand what the fight was about.

The cow was actually being sacrificed by a tribe and Coppola filmed it, in my opinion, to

compare the death of Col. Kurtz with the cow.

Since the tribe was sacrificing it so it could later be eaten, the cow was going to be killed no matter if Coppola filmed it or not. This guy started a fight over how inhumane it was to show the cow being killed on camera. He even said that it took away the dignity of the cow by filming it being killed. I feel like I just wasted 30 minutes of my life.
